I am a graphic designer by profession. I don't know how I ended up being one. My kids' illustrations and artworks are better than mine. Maybe God intended that I study Fine Arts in college so I can meet my good-looking classmate who later on became my hubby. We are blessed with two kids who I guess took after us, artists in their own right. This blog may not always present our works but it's all about the life of four artists, two professionals and two budding, either here in Saudi Arabia or wherever our feet take us.

Here are other facts about me:

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Savior years ago. And because of that faith, I was able to survive life's challenges knowing that God is helping me and always with me every step of the way.

I am temporarily living here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with my family, believing that we will be safe here as long as we abide in Him and follow this country's laws.

I love cakes, muffins and anything pastry but never had the chance to learn baking. Inspired by my friends who post their culinary successes on FB, I know I will learn that in the near future I will bake more (Yes, I started baking and I'm trying to learn!) and maybe, post them here!

I love traveling. Even on a tight budget. I always believe in the adage: if there's a will, there's a way. I wish to travel to at least five Middle East countries while in Saudi Arabia (Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar or Jordan, etc.) and hopefully some other countries from other continents someday!

Romantic comedy is my favorite movie genre. I fell in love with Ireland in my favorite movie, Leap Year.

I have few friends. But they're all true.

I love taking pictures of anything and everything I find beautiful using my mobile phone's camera, my DSLR, or my digicam. If only photography is allowed here in the kingdom, I would've taken more pictures.

My high school classmates thought I would end up being a Fashion Designer because I used to draw and design clothes. I almost took up Architecture when I reached college but realized (thank God!) that Fine Arts is my first love. My love for designing clothes was put into practice when I designed my own wedding dress.

If God would give me another talent, I would ask for a singing voice. I am the most vocally-challenged person you will know.

It's the start of Gabby and Sunday's vacation! And I'm back to the things that I always take for granted: reading and blogging. I've always looked forward to posting here but life has been a whirlwind for the past months. Gabby graduated from primary school and will be in high school this June. Yes, you read it right. I now have a high school kid. How time flies! I got so sick after that and was rushed to the ER and was given antibacterial medicines intravenously. But now, I'm back and raring to blog again.

Prince Salman Science Oasis, Riyadh

Don't think that I don't like my job when I tell you that I took a leave of absence just to accompany my daughter to her field trip. I do love my job. But my daughter is growing up fast and I don't want to miss the chances of being with her on times she asks me to.

Ever read or heard about the famous deathbed regret quote? It says, “No man ever said on his deathbed, ‘I wish I had spent more time in the office.'” That thought reminds me to always have time for my family, no matter how busy I am at work. So on times I need to choose between being a mom and an office employee, I always choose the former. And I haven't regretted that choice since I started making it.

Let me be honest here. One of the reasons I went to that field trip was to check out places that aren't included in my must-go-to list here in Riyadh. I am so sure museums and exhibition centers are way below your list too, if they're there at all.

A Day in Baher Villas, Al Khobar

The school opened last June and the kids are now busy studying, doing homework and projects. I'm happy that I wouldn't have to think of things for my kids to do just like what I've said here. My kids love to go to beaches on their vacations from school. And because we didn't go to the Philippines this year, Fred and I thought of bringing them to a beach resort here to bust their boredom and change their environment even for just a day or two.
